You'll lead a multi-skilled maintenance and tool room team to keep equipment, the building, and the grounds operating dependably and compliantly. A Day in the
Life Kickoff:
Host a morning huddle to align priorities, distribute work, and confirm preventive maintenance tasks for the day. Walkthroughs:
Tour production and facilities areas, inspecting equipment and the efficient use of plant space and utilities. PM Leadership:
Drive the site's preventive maintenance program—scheduling, verifying completion, and adjusting frequencies to meet reliability goals. Compliance First:
Oversee proper hazardous waste handling and disposal, and serve as the point of contact with public utility, environmental, and energy agencies. Project Oversight:
Review construction and installation work, ensuring strict adherence to specifications. Prepare and coordinate specifications, RFPs, contracts, and supporting documents. Space Planning:
Partner with stakeholders on building space allocation, layout changes, and communication services to support operations. Hands-On Support:
When needed, jump in to assist with facilities equipment repairs and preventive maintenance. People & Performance:
Interview, hire, train, coach, and evaluate technicians; recognize great work and address performance issues promptly. What You'll Lead Supervise personnel across the Maintenance Department and Tool Room. Plan, assign, and direct daily work; set priorities and allocate resources. Appraise performance, reward achievements, and administer discipline when appropriate. Address employee concerns and resolve issues constructively. Core Competencies Project Management:
