Position Overview The Facilities Associate helps create spaces where people feel welcomed, comfortable, and ready to encounter God. This role is both hands-on and people-focused—caring for the physical environment while also investing in and leading a team of volunteers who make ministry happen each week. Facilities Director and Operations Director Key Responsibilities:

Facilities & Environment Prepare and care for the facility before, during, and after weekend services Serve as the primary facilities contact during weekend gatherings Set up and reset spaces to support services, ministries, and events Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the building Assist with special projects, including deep cleaning, organization, and light construction Support exterior readiness, including parking lot setup and snow removal as needed Remain flexible and responsive to the needs of ministry events and seasonal changes Volunteer Leadership & Development (Core Focus) Prayerfully and intentionally recruit volunteers to serve on the facilities team Welcome and onboard new volunteers in a way that helps them feel known, valued, and equipped Create simple, clear systems that help volunteers succeed in their roles Schedule and coordinate volunteers for weekend services and events Lead and support volunteers during services—providing direction, encouragement, and help as needed Invest in relationships with volunteers, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose Identify and develop reliable volunteers into team leads Communicate clearly and follow up consistently to build trust and reliability Look for ways to continually improve systems and the overall volunteer experience Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50-75 lbs Ability to work extended shifts (8-10 hours as needed) Ability to stand and move for extended periods Schedule Part-time, up to 28 hours per week Weekend availability is required as well as flexibility for special events
