Job Description

Assistant Facility Security Manager Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Executive Facility Security Manager, this position assumes leadership of the site security team upon absence of the Executive Facility Security Manager. Assist with the development and implementation of extensive security plans, policies, and procedures to protect personnel, assets and information. Assist with leading, training and supervision of a team of security personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures. Manage access control systems, surveillance equipment and other security technologies to ensure proper functioning and effectiveness. Collaborate with internal departments, such as human resources and IT, to ensure compliance with security protocols and standards. Investigate security breaches, incidents and violations, document findings and implement corrective actions. Maintain strong relationships with external partners, such as law enforcement agencies and security vendors, to enhance security capabilities. Educate employees on security awareness, policies and procedures through training programs and communication initiatives. Stay informed about the latest security technologies, trends and regulatory requirements and make recommendations for enhancements to the security program.
Requirements:
High school diploma/bachelor's degree Law enforcement experience 5+ years of experience in security management, law enforcement or the armed forces, with a strong understanding of security principles and practices. Working knowledge of any required computer programs and security technology Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to monitor surveillance systems and respond to emergency situations. Excellent team building and leadership skills.
