Job Description:

A leading digital infrastructure operator is seeking a Senior Facility Manager to oversee mission critical operations across a large-scale hyperscale campus in the greater Aurora market. This individual will play a key leadership role across a multi-building campus environment, managing facility operations, engineering teams, vendor coordination, operational reliability, and ongoing site performance within a high-availability data center environment. The position offers the opportunity to oversee a significant live critical infrastructure footprint while helping drive team development, operational excellence, and long-term campus performance. The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of technical data center operations expertise, team leadership, operational oversight, and people management capabilities within mission critical environments. Responsibilities Lead facility operations across a multi-building hyperscale data center campus Oversee a large-scale operational critical infrastructure environment Manage and mentor a team of facility and engineering professionals, including multiple direct reports Drive operational excellence across maintenance, uptime, reliability, compliance, and critical environment management Partner closely with internal leadership, vendors, contractors, and cross-functional operational teams Support staffing development through a coaching and mentoring leadership approach Provide oversight of vendor management, preventative maintenance, and critical systems performance Assist with operational planning, reporting, process improvements, and campus-wide coordination initiatives Participate in corporate leadership summits, meetings, and operational reviews as needed Ensure strong communication and leadership presence across all levels of the organization Ideal Background Prior data center facilities or mission critical operations experience is required Strong leadership background managing engineering or facility operations teams within live critical environments Experience overseeing large-scale data center infrastructure and campus operations Ability to lead through collaboration, mentorship, and team development rather than rigid management styles Strong understanding of critical infrastructure systems, operational reliability, and facility management best practices Experience managing multiple buildings or large campus-style operations preferred Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities Stable career progression within mission critical, hyperscale, colocation, or data center operations environments Compensation & Logistics Competitive base salary and bonus structure Long-term incentive eligibility Fully onsite role requiring 5 days/week onsite presence Limited travel required for corporate meetings and leadership summits Additional Considerations Data center experience is considered a non-negotiable requirement for the position Candidates without deep operational data center experience are unlikely to be considered Candidates currently supporting projects through third-party relationships should be carefully vetted for potential conflicts Strong emphasis on leadership adaptability, mentorship, and team-oriented management style Why This Opportunity?
