We are seeking a strategic and highly skilled Manager, Epic Managed Care Contract Builder to join our team and drive revenue optimization and contract excellence in a complex safety net environment. About the Role The Manager, Epic Managed Care Contract Builder serves as a strategic reimbursement architect and operational leader , responsible for building, validating, and optimizing complex hospital payer contracts in Epic. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate reimbursement, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational financial goals-while supporting the unique needs of a safety net health system. Key Responsibilities Strategic Contract Architecture Design and build complex facility contracts in Epic (DRG, APC, case rates, per diem, value-based models, etc.) Translate payer agreements into executable system logic with financial modeling Partner with Finance and Managed Care leadership to evaluate contract performance and revenue impact Identify and resolve revenue leakage Advanced Testing & Validation Develop rigorous testing strategies using real claims scenarios Validate reimbursement accuracy and resolve discrepancies Approve contract builds prior to implementation Safety Net Reimbursement Expertise Build contracts aligned with Illinois Medicaid managed care , supplemental payments, and public funding structures Support DSH, UPL, and other reimbursement programs Leadership & Governance Serve as a senior subject matter expert and mentor Lead cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Revenue Cycle, IT, and Compliance Establish build standards and governance protocols Monitoring & Optimization Analyze reimbursement variances and improve contract performance Oversee contract updates, renewals, and optimizations Compliance & Audit Support Ensure adherence to payer agreements and regulatory requirements Maintain detailed documentation and support audits Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, IT, or related field 7+ years of experience in hospital revenue cycle, managed care, or Epic applications Hands-on experience with Epic Resolute Hospital Billing & Contract Management Strong knowledge of hospital reimbursement methodologies Experience in safety net hospitals or public health systems required Illinois Medicaid expertise strongly preferred Epic certification(s) preferred What You Bring Strategic systems thinking and analytical expertise Deep contract interpretation knowledge Focus on revenue optimization and operational excellence Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills Executive-level communication ability Why Join Sinai Chicago?
