What this job involves The Senior Facility Manager is responsible for managing assigned sites within the client's owned and/or occupied portfolio while ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements. This leadership role involves overseeing all lines of business and third-party relationships within assigned buildings while managing a team of Facility Management professionals. The position requires strategic oversight of facility services, budget management, tenant relations, and staff development to deliver exceptional service outcomes in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
Managing performance and outcomes of assigned staff reporting to the position while executing staff succession and growth plans Maintaining interface with third-party owners (landlords) to ensure total contract compliance, accurate reporting, and resolution of critical tenant relations issues Providing overall facility services in accordance with standard processes and procedures including policy application and information coordination Ensuring compliance with portfolio-wide initiatives and required local, state, and federal laws and regulations for facility operations Preparing, submitting, and managing facility budgets aligned with client goals while tracking variances and ensuring smooth recovery processes Supporting prompt collection of management fees and reimbursements from third-party tenants occupying space within owned premises Building actionable and measurable career development plans for every direct report with consistent progress conversations
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Office-based work environment with occasional site visits to assigned facilities Ability to walk through facilities for inspections and assessments Capability to work in various building environments including mechanical rooms and outdoor areas Travel required to multiple assigned sites within designated geography Ability to work standard business hours with occasional after-hours availability for emergencies Professional appearance required for client and tenant interactions
Required Qualifications:
8-10 years of experience leading Integrated Facilities Management teams and services Strong leadership and relationship building skills with proven team management capabilities Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills for complex facility management challenges Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service Knowledge of Excel and ability to analyze data for budget management and reporting Experience with compensation planning processes and staff development
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field Knowledge of standard business and accounting practices Experience with lease administration and landlord-tenant relationship management Familiarity with facility management software and systems Understanding of building operations including HVAC,...
