Facilities Specialist Electrician

Position Summary:

This individual will be required to complete electrical upgrade and service in all the buildings and outside areas, with assistance from the contract electrician. Required to do tasks that involve planning, installing maintenance and repair of electrical system, wiring, machine1y, equipment and other electrical devices Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Plans, constructs and installs new electrical system in buildings, interior and exterior, cuts and shapes conduit with hand tools and fastens it in place with brackets and clamps. Detennines the co1Tect wire and conduit size needed and makes necessary connections to circuit breakers, transformers, disconnects, and electrical equipment. Mounts motors, lighting fixtures and other electrical equipment into position and complete the circuit hookup. Installs and repairs wiring in lighting systems,power appliances, electrical devices, machinery and equipment. Tasks will be accomplished by the use of blueprints, schematic diagrams, design specifications, local electric codes or verbal instruction. The Operations Manager will periodically observe work while in progress, to insure that the job assigned is begin completed according to instructions given.
