  • Job Description:
  • Provides strategic leadership for the development, implementation, and governance of aviation security (AVSEC) programs that safeguard UPS operations and ensure global regulatory compliance.
Directs screening operations through the effective integration of people, processes, and technology to maintain security, drive operational excellence, and support business continuity. Cultivate strong partnerships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, vendors, and industry organizations, including TSA, to influence regulatory outcomes and minimize operational impact.
  • Key Responsibilities & Contributions
  • + Design and implement aviation security initiatives that support enterprise priorities and regulatory obligations + Manage screening activities to uphold compliance standards and sustain effective day-to-day operations + Engage with regulatory and industry stakeholders to address policy changes and operational requirements + Coordinate audit and inspection activities by preparing documentation, facilitating reviews, and supporting compliance validation + Identify compliance gaps and drive corrective measures to address findings and strengthen control effectiveness + Support security-related projects through planning, coordination, reporting, and data-informed recommendations + Use functional expertise and sound judgment to address operational issues and recommend practical solutions + Promote strong team performance by sharing knowledge, reinforcing best practices, and supporting continuous improvement •Qualifications•+ Must live in the same geographical location as the job or be willing to self-relocate to the area + Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred + Preference may be given to applicants with prior military, law enforcement, and/or investigations experience + Be of high moral and ethical character + Must be able to pass a criminal background check + Must be agile with the ability to flex work hours.
May include split shifts/nights/weekends/holidays
