Director of Plant Operations - Critical Access Hospital Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a unique opportunity for an emerging healthcare facilities management / plant operations leader ready to take the next step in their career. A respected community health system in the Gulf South is seeking a Director of Plant Operations to oversee facilities, emergency preparedness, security, and biomedical services across a growing healthcare campus. What makes this opportunity unique? The current Director has chosen to step into the Manager role as he approaches retirement, creating a rare succession-planning opportunity. The incoming Director will have the benefit of learning from and partnering with a seasoned leader over the next several years while gaining valuable leadership experience. Highlights Reports directly to the CFO Oversight of a Medical Center, Wellness Center, and multiple outpatient clinics Lead Environment of Care, Safety, and Emergency Preparedness programs Manage regulatory compliance, facility operations, and capital projects New chiller installation scheduled this summer; major boiler replacement completed last year Stable, well-maintained facilities with strong executive support Opportunity to build and mentor a growing team Ideal Background Plant Operations Manager, Supervisor, or Assistant Director experience within a hospital or healthcare setting Experience with Environment of Care, Emergency Preparedness, and Safety programs Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance standards Effective communicator who can engage frontline staff, physicians, leadership, and external agencies CHFM preferred
