ABOUT YOU
As a Deputy Director Aviation Facilities, you are a technically skilled and forward-thinking leader who drives reliability and performance across complex infrastructure, combining strong analytical thinking with a proactive, systems-based approach to maintenance, safety, and operational excellence. You lead with confidence and integrity, building accountability across teams, navigating labor and stakeholder dynamics effectively, and leveraging data, technology, and strategic insight to enhance resilience, efficiency, and long-term asset performance while maintaining composure in high-pressure situations. What you will do : Leads the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of airport facilities and critical infrastructure, utilizing predictive and preventive maintenance strategies, advanced monitoring technologies, and data-driven insights to optimize asset performance, extend lifecycle, and minimize operational disruptions. Directs and develops a high-performing, safety-focused workforce, overseeing workforce planning, training, and performance management, while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance. Oversees financial management and long-term capital planning, aligning operating and capital budgets with asset lifecycle needs, infrastructure investments, and operational priorities to enhance system reliability, resiliency, and cost efficiency. Coordinates complex operations across internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders, including airfield systems, utilities infrastructure, snow operations, and major capital projects, ensuring seamless execution, regulatory adherence, and uninterrupted airport operations.
What you offer:
Bachelor's degree in business administration requires or related field or equivalent professional experience required. 10+ years of progressive leadership in facilities, infrastructure, maintenance, engineering, or operations within a major international airport required. Experience leading skilled trades, technical teams, and contracted services preferred. Supervisory experience required. Working knowledge of FAA and TSA regulations, including FAR Part 139 and TSA Part 1542 requirements, as well as airport conditions reporting and operational compliance standards. Understanding of federal environmental regulations related to HAZMAT response.
