Shakespeare & Company Facilities Associate Lenox, MA Apply
POSITION SUMMARY
The Facilities Associate is a part of a team that maintains 30 acres of buildings and grounds that allow for and encourages the operation of the Company throughout the busy summer season, mid-May through mid-September.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • General grounds-keeping, mowing, and weeding;
  • Trail, walkway and road maintenance;
  • Some operation of vehicles, power and heavy equipment;
  • Ordering and maintaining supplies;
  • General building maintenance including mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical, light carpentry and painting projects;
  • Vehicle and equipment maintenance;
  • Assistance with company activities\' and programs\' set up and clean up;
  • On-site trash hauling and recycling;
  • Working to ensure buildings are in a safe and sanitary condition when occupied, and secure when unoccupied.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS SOUGHT
  • Access to email and text;
  • A valid Driver\'s License and clean driving record;
  • A familiarity with power and hand tools;
  • Sitting, standing, pushing and pulling, climbing and stooping;
  • Reaching with hands and arms, use of hands to finger objects and controls;
  • Lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds;
  • Close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision;
  • Reading of written, printed and/or computer screen data;
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; a positive attitude and energy; an inspiring, forward thinking, empathetic, and collaborative style, exhibiting an openness to many perspectives;
  • A commitment to values of anti-racism and anti-oppression and personal and/or professional experiences advancing equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team, and communicate clearly with partners, team leaders and administrative staff;
  • Willingness to work indoors and outside;
  • Completion of a
COVID-19
vaccine regimen and booster, if eligible, prior to employment term;
