Report :
Director of Finances and Administration Oldfields School in Sparks Glencoe, Maryland is an international all-girls boarding and day school, grades 8-12, established in 1867. We are seeking an experienced full-time Director of Athletic Programming/Facilities Rentals to begin July 1, 2026. This 12-month position requires a strategic and operational leader responsible for developing, managing and building the School's athletic program, auxiliary summer camp offerings, and facility rental program. This role ensures alignment with the School's mission while maximizing the programming quality, community engagement and revenue generation.
Responsibilities:
Athletic Programming:
Develop and oversee comprehensive athletic programming that supports student development, wellness, and competitive excellence. Align programming with league and independent school standards. Design off-season training, clinics, and enrichment programs for students Support recruitment, onboarding, and supervision of coaching staff for supplemental programs.
Summer Camps:
Create a robust portfolio of summer camps (sports, enrichment, and specialty programs). Ensure female campers have a school tour and meet the Admissions Team Work with day and residential camp directors to ensure competitive pricing, enrollment targets, and financial performance. Ensure camp directors maintain compliance with safety standards while using facilities, sound health protocols, and provide signed contract and insurance requirements. Partner with marketing and admissions teams to promote camps and drive enrollment growth. Maintain high standards of customer service and communication with camps, sports leagues, retreat planners and entities such as our partners Manor Mill and Manor Mill Players Coordinate carefully with food services to accommodate meals for day and residential camps
Facility Rentals:
Develop and manage a comprehensive facility rental program (gyms, fields, performance spaces, classrooms, art studios, dormitories). Create pricing structures, contracts, and policies for external users. Coordinate scheduling to balance school needs with external rentals. Oversee rental logistics, staffing, security, and event support. Cultivate community partnerships and long-term rental relationships. Monitor revenue performance and identify growth opportunities.
Financial & Strategic Oversight:
Develop and manage operating budgets for athletic programming, camps, and rentals. Establish revenue goals and growth strategies for auxiliary programs. Track KPIs including enrollment, utilization rates, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Identify new program opportunities aligned with market demand and school capacity.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Work closely with Facilities, Business Office, Admissions, Marketing, Dining Services and Security teams. Serve as a visible ambassador of the school within the broader community. Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sports Management, Education, Business Administration, or related field 3+ years of experience in athletic administration, program development, or facility management Demonstrated experience managing budgets and revenue-generating programs Strong organizational and operational management skills
