Yard Operations and Facilities Specialist

Job Overview:

Messer Truck and Van is looking for a rugged, dependable individual to take on a yard-heavy warehouse role. This position is the heartbeat of our logistical flow, requiring someone who is comfortable working indoors and outdoors year-round, regardless of the weather. You will be the primary link between our inventory, our delivery drivers, and our internal service and sales teams. Yard & Inventory Management:

Oversee the organization of the yard and warehouse, ensuring all parts and vehicles are positioned for maximum efficiency. •

Multifaceted Communication:

Act as the primary point of contact for delivery drivers while maintaining clear, professional communication with technicians, sales, and service teams to fulfill parts requests. •

Heavy Equipment Operation:

Expertly operate multiple sizes of forklifts to load/unload shipments and move heavy upfitting components safely. •

Weather-Resilient Operations:

Execute all receiving, staging, and dispatching tasks in various outdoor conditions (rain, snow, or heat). •

Digital Record Keeping:

Utilize inventory systems to ensure real-time accuracy of parts coming in and going out. Benefits & Schedule •

Adaptability:

Proven ability to work in an outdoor environment throughout all seasons. •

Equipment Mastery:

Valid forklift certification with experience operating various sizes and capacities. •

Interpersonal Skills:

Strong verbal communication skills to coordinate between diverse departments and external vendors. •

Mechanical Aptitude:

2+ years of warehouse experience with a solid background in mechanical tasks and basic repairs. •

Physical Stamina:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and remain on your feet for extended periods. •

Education:

Advanced Maintenance:

Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems. •

System Experience:

Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., QuickBooks Online or Tangle ERP). •

Safety Pro :

Problem Solver:

Tool Ownership :

Pay:

From $22.00 per hour
