Back Conveyor and Facilities Specialist#2011461 Auburn Hills, Michigan, United StatesApply X Facebook LinkedIn Email Copy Job Description The Vehicle Process Engineering GA Conveyor and Facilities Specialist will lead projects in design and installation of conveyors / facilities and equipment for new model launches in North America. The role of this Specialist will develop project documents to support automotive assembly programs, drive continuous improvement to standards, lead conveyor designs and facility installations while meeting the cost and timing requirements of the program.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The GA Conveyor and Facilities Specialist will be responsible for the development and implementation of VPE standards and specifications focused on:

Develop and maintain standards for conveyorsDevelop standards & unit content matrix for facilities and Productionization equipmentDemo and installation of existing program equipmentAuthor project documents to include scopes of work and drawings for competitive bid, as well as documents for project management and project executionVehicle 3D Carrier design, fabrication, and performance testingAssembly Station layout and design to optimize assembly operator's work area

Launch:

Ensure systems meet required cycle timesEliminate sources of downtime and micro stops as related to facilities and conveyanceResolve build issues related to facilities and conveyanceLead supplier support resources, and corrective actions with methodical documented Kaizen approach

Project Management:

Lead daily launch construction meetingsManage progress reports to schedule, master plan, and program charter(s)Address financial and timing concerns with recovery plans and change notificationsResolve installation issues, liaison with GAPE (General Assembly Process Engineering), Tooling and Industrial EngineeringSupport Plants during down time events:

United States Requirements Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree1 year of industrial project management experience1 year of plant manufacturing experienceFamiliarity with 3D Carrier Design, and Teamcenter VisualizationFamiliarity with multiple conveyor types, Power and Free, EMS, FDS, and Skillet ConveyorsExperience working with plant skilled trades, and installation skilled trades working under the NMAExperience working with
