Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Compost Facility Manager to lead our compost processing operations. In this role, you will oversee the daily management of compost production, ensure safety standards are met, and optimize equipment use. Your leadership will help maintain our commitment to quality, efficiency, and environmental sustainability. Duties Supervise the operation of heavy equipment such as loaders, to manage compost materials effectively. Coordinate the movement and processing of organic waste and compost materials, ensuring smooth workflow. Oversee equipment maintenance, cleaning, and safety inspections to prevent downtime and accidents. Implement sanitation procedures to maintain a clean facility environment and comply with health regulations. Train staff on proper heavy equipment operation, safety protocols, and efficient material handling techniques. Monitor production processes to meet quality standards and optimize throughput. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to waste management and composting practices. Experience Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a manufacturing or waste management setting. Strong background in manufacturing processes related to composting or organic waste handling. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising teams in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety procedures for heavy equipment operation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Prior experience in facility management or operations within a recycling or waste processing plant is preferred.
