Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to support daily plant operations through routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs. This role is critical in ensuring that facility equipment, building systems, and work environments remain safe, compliant, and fully operational. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, building repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment support, working under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor while adhering to all safety standards, OSHA guidelines, and company procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform routine facility maintenance including painting, patching, and minor carpentry work Assist with preventive maintenance (PM) for building systems and production equipment Replace and maintain lights, filters, batteries, and facility components Conduct basic plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks and clearing drains Maintain clean and organized maintenance and work areas Perform basic mechanical maintenance, lubrication, and equipment inspections Identify, troubleshoot, and report equipment issues and malfunctions Assist senior maintenance staff with repairs, installations, and system upgrades Follow all workplace safety procedures, including PPE and lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols Identify and report hazards, unsafe conditions, or compliance issues Support housekeeping, waste management, and facility cleanliness initiatives Assist with grounds maintenance, snow removal, and building upkeep Help with material handling, equipment relocation, and facility support tasks Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools Valid driver's license Ability to obtain forklift certification or aerial lift certification Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in industrial maintenance, plant maintenance, or manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and technical diagrams 1-3+ years of related maintenance or technician experience Core Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Safety-focused mindset with knowledge of OSHA standards Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance tasks Reliable, proactive, and results-driven Location Sandusky, MI 48471Duration:

1 st shift.Pay Range:
