Job Description

Description Electric Machinery Company, a division of WEG Electric Corp.
Minneapolis, MN Position:
Facilities Coordinator Primary Objective of Position:
Responsible for the planning and control of facility and maintenance work orders. Assists on purchasing activities, providing resource analysis, scheduling of labor, and capital expenditures
Major Areas of Accountability:
Coordinate maintenance work orders; creating demand maintenance orders as needed, establishing priorities / urgencies in order to anticipate, and prevent stops to meet deadlines. Monitors status of maintenance orders; ensuring hours are properly logged Coordinate maintenance schedule, breaking down activities by operations and checking material requirements. Customer-Driven focus; providing "On Time Predictability through Continuous Improvement". Planning; develops daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules. Coordinates with logistics, production, and quality control departments to ensure smooth operations. Carry out any other duties as required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Business, or similar; or equivalent work experience. Three to Five years' experience in a manufacturing environment. SAP Materials and Planning experience preferred. Demonstrated strength in initiative, problem-solving, and customer-service skills. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and ability to communicate with persons at all levels. Strong attention to detail and the ability to respond to changing priorities required. Ability to take a proactive approach to overcome challenges and achieve results. Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. Relationship building and management skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office products (focus on Excel), proficiency preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Work is performed majority of the time in the plant environment. Ability to routinely move throughout the plant and office environment to perform work Must be able to carry 20 pounds unassisted production order packages around the plant Requires ability to ascend and descend stairs daily to reach all areas of the plant and office.
