$65 to $73/Hr The Facilities Manager's primary responsibility is to ensure the operation, maintenance, and safety of buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure efficient and compliant facility performance. They coordinate vendors, manage budgets, and implement preventive maintenance programs while ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role also supports business continuity by optimizing workspace functionality, addressing facility issues promptly, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with production plant and warehouse managers for a comprehensive approach to ensuring safe and reliable operations. Responsibilities Oversee facility operations to ensure buildings, equipment, grounds, and related systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs, routine inspections, and risk assessments to support safe and compliant operations. Coordinate facility repairs, renovations, and capital improvement projects from planning through completion. Manage vendor, contractor, and service provider relationships, including contracts, budgets, expenses, and cost-saving opportunities. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, regulatory, documentation, and reporting requirements related to facility operations. Support business continuity, emergency preparedness, space utilization, workplace functionality, and facility-related safety improvements in partnership with production and warehouse leaders. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education:
At least 2-year degree in safety or a closely related field or a combination of safety certifications and experience
Experience:
8+ years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or operations management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of OSHA and building regulations Knowledge of best practices for production environments Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate cross-functional teams Experience managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships Demonstrated experience in timely completion of tasks and a high degree of organizational skills Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection) Understanding of KAI business processes While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, use hands to finger, climb or balance, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and walk. Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or working on a computer.
