The City of Grandview is seeking a Facility Services Manager to lead the maintenance, operations, and overall functionality of our municipal facilities. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in keeping community spaces running at their best. You won't just manage buildings — you'll help shape the experience of an entire community. Why This Role is Unique This isn't a single-facility job. You'll oversee a diverse portfolio of city facilities, including: Community Center ("The View") Police & Fire Stations Parks & Spray Parks Amphitheater Municipal Buildings Ball Fields & Public Spaces Museum & Historic Facilities Fountains, Irrigation Systems & Grounds You'll lead both daily operations and long-term facility improvements, making this role ideal for someone who enjoys both strategy and hands-on work. What You'll Do Lead and supervise custodial and maintenance staff Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and facility systems Coordinate contractors, inspections, and preventative maintenance Manage facility budgets and capital improvement planning Maintain safety standards and compliance Support special events, facility rentals, and seasonal operations Oversee irrigation systems, fountains, and spray parks Manage inventory, supplies, and facility work requests Ensure municipal buildings are safe, clean, and operational every day What We're Looking For Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years building & grounds maintenance experience Valid driver's license AFO or CPO certification (or ability to obtain) Ability to pass background check & physical Preferred 2+ years supervisory experience Facilities management or technical coursework Experience with municipal or multi-facility operations The Ideal Candidate You might be a great fit if you: Like solving problems before they become emergencies Are comfortable leading a team and holding standards Can juggle multiple facilities and priorities Enjoy both planning and hands-on work Take pride in well-maintained spaces Don't mind working indoors and outdoors What You'll Get Leadership role with real impact Variety — no two days are the same Stable municipal employment Opportunity to improve facilities across an entire community Team-focused Parks & Recreation environment About the City of Grandview The City of Grandview is committed to providing high-quality services and maintaining welcoming community spaces.
