Facilities Specialist Guardian Angel Settlement Association - 3.0 St. Louis, MO Job Details Full-time $18 - $23 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Mileage reimbursement Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Employee assistance program Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description Facilities Specialist Guardian Angel Settlement Association (GASA) - St. Louis, MO Job Type Full-time Pay $37,440 - $41,600 per year Schedule Monday to Friday Early morning shift required Occasional evenings and weekends as needed Location Multiple Campuses throughout the St. Louis area Position Summary Guardian Angel Settlement Association (GASA) is seeking a dependable and motivated Facilities Specialist to support the daily operations of our Early Childhood Education campuses. This position is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and fully operational learning environments across multiple locations. The Facilities Specialist oversees facility maintenance, cleaning, supply coordination, and kitchen support while helping ensure campuses are prepared each day for children, staff, and families. This role requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, salaried non-exempt position with a typical work week of 43-45 hours. Key Responsibilities Facility Maintenance & Daily Operations Open assigned campuses daily by 6:00 AM and ensure buildings are ready for operation Maintain indoor and outdoor spaces to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance Remove trash, manage recyclables, and clean common areas Perform routine maintenance, including: Replacing light bulbs Unclogging drains Touch-up painting Minor plumbing and furniture repairs Conduct facility inspections and report major repair needs Perform deep cleaning of floors and surfaces, including scrubbing, buffing, and waxing Assist with seasonal exterior maintenance, including snow removal and landscaping Travel between campuses based on operational needs and emergencies Kitchen & Food Service Support Wash and sanitize dishes and food preparation areas Support meal preparation and service when needed Clean kitchen equipment and assist with food deliveries and inventory Supply & Inventory Management Track and manage janitorial, classroom, and kitchen supplies Coordinate supply orders and restocking with administrative staff Pick up and deliver supplies between campuses as needed Receive, inspect, and organize shipments Vendor & Communication Coordination Serve as a point of contact for facility vendors, including HVAC, plumbing, and pest control providers Schedule and oversee vendor services Communicate maintenance concerns and emergencies promptly to leadership Organizational Engagement Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities Support occasional agency events that may require evening or weekend participation Maintain compliance with agency policies, safety standards, and professional expectations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 2 years of facilities, custodial, or maintenance experience required Multi-site experience preferred Experience in a nonprofit, school, or childcare setting is a plus Basic cooking knowledge and food safety awareness preferred Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Work Environment This role involves both indoor and outdoor work across multiple campuses. Frequent walking, standing, lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and physical activity are required. Flexibility is essential, as daily operational and facility needs may change.
