Regional Facilities Manager, Set Up Summary As a direct report to the Director of Facilities and Set Up, the Camp Set Up and Facilities Manager acts as a liaison for the Set Up Crew Supervisors and Under Canvas management. The Field Manager provides leadership and supervision of multiple set up teams, administers the schedule, coordinates travel, housing, training, equipment rentals, and assists the Director to develop and implement efficient processes related to the set up and take down of legacy and new properties. The Camp Set Up and Facilities Manager is also responsible for the acquisition and management of data and assisting the Director with regular reporting to interested constituents. This position is year-round and salaried exempt. Responsibilities Provide direct leadership to a team of Camp Set Up Supervisors, managing and monitoring their attendance and work performance Prioritize goals and delegate tasks on a regular basis for Camp Set Up crews while working in conjunction with the Camp General Managers and the Director of Facilities and Set Up Work with the Director of Facilities and Set Up on creating the annual set up budget and set up/take down schedules Interview and collaborate with Camp Set Up Supervisors and Director of Facilities and Set Up on hiring of Set Up Crew team members Collaborate with the Director of Facilities and Set Up to develop a training/certification curriculum and retraining/recertification process for team members Provide daily status reports to the Director of Facilities and Set Up on total crew progress during set up and take down seasons Strive to develop new methods and materials which will increase the operational efficiency, decrease the cost, and improve the quality of the camp set up and take down process Work with the Director of Facilities and Set Up to codify Department Set Up SOPs and policies Act as on ground Set Up SME for all new camp build projects; providing insight on the set up process and strategies for tent locations Assist training camp teams with set up and take down, working closely with Camp General Managers and Facilities Managers to ensure smooth execution Provide occasional support to Regional Facilities Managers as needed Think critically to respond and react quickly to ever changing situations Able to problem solve to resolve issues safely and efficiently Deliver clear expectations to teams in all operational areas Professional in all internal and external communications Assist with maintenance needs for staff housing as needed Prioritize tasks effectively Participate in Set Up meetings Submit high quality work products in a timely manner Other duties as assigned Education High School Diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications Experience as a Set Up Crew Supervisor or similar position, three years' experience Minimum three years of leading facilities or maintenance teams, preferably in customer-focused, outdoor environments, hospitality, or parks and recreation Minimum three years of troubleshooting and performing maintenance tasks. Knowledge in septic, plumbing, wood stoves, propane, gas, electric, and generators preferred Support HR and leadership in addressing employee relations matters, including documenting performance concerns, participating in corrective action processes, and maintaining confidentiality throughout Experience in leading teams of construction tradespeople including scheduling, delegation of tasks, quality assurance, coaching, and training Competently perform duties in absence of Director of Facilities and Set Up Goal-oriented, results-driven, strong interpersonal and communication skills Communicate in a clear and professional way Interact with a friendly, enthusiastic, positive attitude Demonstrate sound judgement, follow direction, and take decisive appropriate action Learn, embrace, and train team on company policies, practices, and procedures Strong organizational skills to execute and prioritize multiple tasks Ability to work independently and meet deadlines on assigned projects Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Participate in educational and training opportunities Additional Information Travel required up to 75% This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment, when applicable. This position requires that the individual is able to lift a minimum of 45lbs independently. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity, and wind.
