Job Description
Facilities HVAC Supervisor Position Summary Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday 6:30am-3:30pm 100% based on-site in Greenville, NC Catalent's Greenville, N.C. facility specializes in end-to-end turn-key solutions for oral solid dosage forms, including integrated formulation development, analytical services, commercial manufacturing, and packaging. This state-of-the-art facility has had over $100M of investments in recent years and features fit-for-scale capacity with potent handling capabilities, ideal for orphan or targeted drug development. The Facilities HVAC Supervisor will oversee department-specific operations, including facilities, HVAC maintenance, preventive maintenance, calibration, project engineering, and facilities planning. This role will serve as the point of contact for outside HVAC and indirect support of production maintenance. The Role Oversight and ownership of the HVAC/R systems, which include all the various connected and separate electrical, mechanical, safety, etc. systems that are operational in a facility; to ensure that measures are taken to operate all specialized systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum Supervise, develop, coach, and train technicians in the maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC/R systems and utility equipment. Possess and provide SME level of knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, boiler, steam, and water treatment systems Provide direction of site manufacturing and facility operations, specifically relating to HVAC/R systems Oversee work to modify existing mechanical, refrigeration, and HVAC systems to incorporate building system changes and provide engineering support to resolve interruption issues to process HVAC/R equipment and building controls infrastructure Lead response to emergency situations and alarms, summoning additional assistance as needed, and coordinate work with other departments to minimize downtime; perform installations, modifications, repairs, preventive maintenance, and calibrations Lead and drive systematic problem-solving efforts for HVAC events and casualties. Develop budgets and spending direction to achieve reliable service at maximum value to the site. Oversee execution of HEPA certification and testing for routine events and provide assistance for shutdown and annual certification process. Review required documentation and ensure certification documentation is approved for inclusion in maintenance records. Other duties assigned. The Candidate High School/GED and 7+ years supervisory experience OR Associates degree and 5+ years supervisory experience required 10+ years of experience in refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation construction/maintenance/engineering required Knowledge of Blue Mountain RAM, air conditioning, heating, plumbing, electricity, electronics, carpentry, electric motors, motor controls, welding, mechanical systems, boilers, painting, OSHA, and Pharmaceutical cGMP regulations Position requires the ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs. unassisted Majority of the workday is performed while standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations Requires bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, and climbing Requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time Some exposure to hazardous chemicals and other active chemical ingredients Must be able to use a variety of tools, equipment, and machinery Why You Should Work At Catalent Spearhead exciting and innovative projects Fast-paced, dynamic environment High visibility to members at all levels of the organization 152 hours of PTO + 8 paid holidays Catalent offers rewarding opportunities to further your career!
