Job Description

High Point University Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations position directs the management and execution of all home athletic competitions and special events held within High Point University's athletic facilities, while overseeing event operations, facility logistics, and scheduling for assigned sports programs to ensure seamless and efficient event delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred Experience and Training Minimum 2-year experience in collegiate athletics or similar experience Turf management experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
Proficient in use of MS Office products and the internet Problem solving, organization and time management skills Strong interpersonal skills
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Leads the scheduling and supervision of daily operation of all athletic facilities which includes the Millis Center, Williard Stadium, Vert Stadium, and Steele Center Manages the scheduling and supervision of the daily operation of the athletic spaces within the Qubein Center Leads the coordinating maintenance of all athletic venues Communicates and coordinates with University personnel on overall athletic schedule, facility reservations, and athletic camps. Manages special facility projects Assigns sports, schedule and supervise all event staff for home athletic contests; assist with other events held at the athletic venues Plans and manages logistics for all home athletic contests for assigned sports, to include security, parking, hosting officials, facility supervision and all student workers for event management Manages assigned visiting team arrivals Updates visiting team guides and coordinate distribution to visiting teams Assists in managing video streaming including the management of personnel to operate equipment Supervises Assistant Director of Facilities and Operations Supervises 15-25 student workers for event management Manages expenses within budget for the Facilities and Operations Department Assists in managing outside rentals of athletic venues Maintains positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with students, students' parents, faculty, co-workers and managers Other duties as assigned
