Facilities Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Description Provide leadership to process maintenance and utility operators to maintain good group moral and safety; Improve the performance of production lines and critical utilities by using effective preventative maintenance, timely problem solving, equipment improvements, and training of production and maintenance personnel as needed; Maintain the facility and grounds at an acceptable level by preventative maintenance and unscheduled Work Orders; Coordinate and schedule outside services when needed to support the efforts of the facility mechanics and utility operators; Provide utilities support to the plant on a consistent and reliable basis; Actively participate in all Environmental, Health, and Safety aspects of the plant; Ensure productivity of maintenance department through implementation of a maintenance excellence program, maintenance planning and work order assignments to process mechanics; Provide maintenance support to all aspects of the manufacturing process in accordance with FDA guidelines, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and all internal operating procedures; Provide technical direction, effective problem solving/troubleshooting, and training for process mechanics; Support or Lead projects as needed; Ensure effective employee relations through employee coaching, mentoring and development in addition to providing performance evaluations and management for direct reports; Provide financial oversight on the use of tools, equipment, materials, and parts by mechanics; Meet city, state, and federal regulatory requirements relevant to Production lines and Engineering areas of responsibilities; Maintain Plant's CMMS or Work Order system (Maximo) by assigning work orders, closing work orders, and monitoring progress of open work orders; Supervise, direct and coordinate maintenance activities to improve performance of the facilities, utilities, and production areas during second shift; Oversee the preventative and corrective maintenance programs to ensure that maintenance work is performed in accordance with all regulatory and plant requirements; Develop, understand, and work within the annual maintenance budget; Manage the maintenance expertise to perform and assist with the plant operation/maintenance outages; Monitor mechanical/electrical/I&C maintenance work to ensure that all work is conducted using proper industrial and applicable plant procedures and standards; Recommend improvements in methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working condition activities for the area and the site Skills GMP, pharma, CMMS, PLC, utitlies Top Skills Details GMP,pharma,CMMS Additional Skills & Qualifications Engineering or technical degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree; Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods in an office and manufacturing environment; Frequently required to access mechanical spaces, utility rooms, or production areas (requiring PPE); Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally; Visual acuity to review documentation and electronic data; High level of attention to detail and accuracy; Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; Capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines under minimal supervision; Effective written and verbal communication and critical thinking abilities Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Raleigh, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $115000.00/yr. Full company benefits - 20 days of PTO and 13 holidays. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Raleigh,NC.
