Job Description

Role Overview The Maintenance Supervisor leads a team of process maintenance and utility operators, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment, utilities, and facility systems in a GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical environment . This role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, team development, and continuous improvement across the plant. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead maintenance teams to maintain strong morale, safety culture, and high performance. Provide coaching, mentoring, performance evaluations , and ongoing development for direct reports. Ensure effective communication and employee relations across maintenance and production teams. Maintenance Operations Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for production lines, utilities, and facility systems. Provide technical direction, troubleshooting support , and hands‑on guidance to process mechanics. Maintain the plant's CMMS (Maximo) by assigning, tracking, and closing work orders. Coordinate and schedule outside contractors to support maintenance activities. Monitor mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation/control work to ensure compliance with plant procedures and industry standards. Production & Utilities Support Ensure reliable utilities support for manufacturing operations. Conduct daily walkthroughs to assess equipment performance and identify issues proactively. Support manufacturing processes in alignment with FDA, cGMP, and internal SOPs . Lead or support engineering and maintenance projects , including shutdowns and outages. Compliance, Safety & Continuous Improvement Actively participate in EHS programs , ensuring safe work practices across all maintenance activities. Recommend improvements to equipment, processes, and maintenance procedures. Ensure compliance with city, state, and federal regulations related to production and engineering. Maintain facility and grounds through scheduled and unscheduled work orders. Financial & Operational Oversight Manage the annual maintenance budget , including tools, materials, and spare parts. Drive maintenance excellence through planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives. Improve equipment reliability and uptime through data‑driven decision‑making. Required Skills & Experience Strong experience in GMP , pharmaceutical manufacturing , and CMMS systems (Maximo preferred). Experience with utilities , PLC‑based systems , and industrial equipment troubleshooting. Engineering or technical degree, or equivalent experience. Ability to work in office, mechanical, and production environments; must be able to lift 25 lbs occasionally. High attention to detail with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; able to manage multiple priorities independently. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Raleigh, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
