Position Overview:
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 1:30 - 10:00 pm The Facilities Associate's main responsibility is to follow the daily work schedule for the assigned area. It may include cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, sweep floors, empty/clean wastebaskets and wipe down work areas. This is considered an essential onsite role, which requires regular onsite attendance.
Responsibilities:
Clean, dust, vacuum, and wash walls, furniture, ceilings, bathrooms, meeting rooms, windows, doors, and associated equipment and fixtures Sweep, mop, vacuum, and strip all floor surfaces Collect trash throughout the facility and transport to proper location Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, etc. Perform additional cleaning services as required Dispose properly of all public sanitation items in compliance with DigiKey's infectious waste control training
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Public sanitation compliance and/or infectious waste control training, preferred Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English Regular and consistent attendance due to the need to access physical equipment Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment or individually with minimal supervision Ability to understand and follow safety procedures Ability to provide a professional and enthusiastic outlook and perspective Self-motivation to maintain a clean work environment throughout the facility Capable of working with varying cleaning liquids, powders, sprays, soaps, etc. Dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and success
Tools/ Systems/ Software:
Scrubber/Sweeper management Outlook Workday (will be trained on the job)
Physical Requirements:
Physical ability to perform a full range of cleaning and custodial duties, as well as the operation of cleaning equipment as required Capable of standing or walking the entire shift Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. from the floor to shoulder height
Compensation:
The starting base pay rate for this position is: $20.00 ______________________________________________________________________ Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.
