Full Job Description General Summary:
The Facilities Specialist ensures the various activities of the Facility department of HIA will run smoothly. Performs necessary functions to maintain the physician structures, electrical, mechanic, HVAC systems, utilities, and grounds of HIA facilities. Have knowledge of and assure compliance with HIA, accreditation, local, state, and federal agency codes, policies, and procedural requirements and recommendations to include advisories, safety, and health requirements.
Essential Functions:
Ensure the facility structures, equipment, and grounds are maintained in accordance with relevant regulations, codes, manufacturer's standards of cleanliness and neatness to ensure compliance and a welcoming environment Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities Perform maintenance and minor repairs on buildings and grounds, including roofing, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and other trades Complete additions and installations of office equipment and furniture Perform and assist with set up/take down and configuration the Multi-Purpose/Conference room or other facilities as need for meetings and events Perform/oversee snow mitigation/removal Assist with supervision of housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen, laundry staff per HRRV's staffing plan Perform and assist with ordering, distribution, and inventory of Medical Supplies Assist with the maintenance of and coordination of the logistics of company vehicle assignments Receive the delivery of goods and handle their distribution, storage, and inventory Assist with ensuring adequate inventory of maintenance/housekeeping/office supplies Completes and maintains records, logs, and reports as required Ensures appropriate maintenance of all records are in compliance with local, accreditation, State, and Federal record retention policies Ensure safety standards governing the facilities, including but not limited to, fire and life safety, OSHA, and State Department of Health, are met and maintained at the facilities with detailed record keeping/logs to ensure compliance Assist the Facility Emergency Manager and acts independently and decisively in emergency situations; conducts exercises and drills as needed Performs monthly inspections and/or tests of equipment, fire and monitoring systems, and emergency backup systems Collects & disperses emergency/incident command or other data to management teams and other departments as needed Ability to follow complex job instructions and do maintenance work without direct supervision; able to work with and interpret blueprints and equipment manuals Ensures all submissions are accurate, timely, and complete Due to the on-site nature of this role, scheduling requirements, and emergency facility support, employees are expected to live within a reasonable commuting distance (approximately 20 miles or less). Follows company policies to ensure consistent and compliant job performance. Performs other duties as assigned Physical Requirements Able to observe hazards, drive vehicles, and work on elevated platforms, including roofs, and lift up to 100 pounds

Pay Range:

Education, Certificates, and Experience:
Three (3) years to five (5) in commercial/institutional building maintenance or equivalent experience in mechanical trades Experience in purchasing and inventory control practices Good interpersonal skills in dealing with staff, vendors, contractors, inspectors, visitors, patients, and families Strong communication skills Current driver's license and proof of auto insurance
