Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Facilities Manager to lead and oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of our facilities. This role is vital in ensuring that all building systems, equipment, and infrastructure function seamlessly to support manufacturing processes and daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, technical expertise in industrial maintenance, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Education and/or Experience Degree from trade school or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises Maintenance Department employees. Supervise department in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Directs workers engaged in painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings. 2. Directs workers engaged in ground maintenance activities, such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, and raking and disposing of leaves and refuse. 3. Directs workers assisting other departments as requested, including moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies. 4. Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies. 5. Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards. 6. Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. 7. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. 8. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. 9. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew. 10. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. 11. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. 12. Maintains time and production records. 13. Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. 14. Performs activities of workers supervised. 15. Other duties may be assigned. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Work Environment While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
