depending on experience Overview The Facilities Coordinator is the company's on-site representative during the conversion of a 24,000 sq. ft. facility from composite part manufacturing to stainless-steel slide gate fabrication. The position will begin as a part-time role, 20 hours per week, and progressively evolve into a full-time role. The Facilities Coordinator works daily on site, coordinating contractors, monitoring progress, safety, and other duties as required. Key Responsibilities Contractor and Site Coordination
- Act as the primary on-site point of contact for all contractors (electrical, mechanical, structural steel, ventilation, etc.).
- Coordinate daily activities to ensure work progresses according to agreed priorities, sequence, and site constraints.
- Monitor contractor work to ensure it aligns with scope, intent, and safe industrial practices. Hands-On Site Support
- Facilitate contractor access, materials, tools, and information. Safety and Site Readiness
- Monitor general site safety.
- Ensure the facility is kept orderly, safe, and functional throughout the conversion.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately and support corrective actions. Profile and Qualifications
- Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, fabrication, or plant setup environment.
- Comfortable working with contractors and trades; able to communicate clearly and confidently.
- Practical, hands-on, and solutions-oriented.
- Highly reliable, trustworthy, and capable of working independently.
- Good observation, documentation, and basic reporting skills.
- Experience with welding environments, heavy parts, or industrial material handling is a strong asset.
