501(c)(3) Supporting Organization / Charter School Support Organization Position Summary The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and day-to-day operations of facilities used by CCSN and its supported organizations. Reporting to the Chief Fiscal Officer, this role ensures that buildings and grounds are safe, functional, compliant, and well-maintained to support high-quality teaching and learning. In addition, the Facilities Manager will oversee and help develop a social enterprise construction program that provides meaningful student employment opportunities while supporting community redevelopment and facilities improvement efforts. Key Responsibilities Facilities Operations & Maintenance -Oversee day-to-day facilities operations, including building maintenance, repairs, and custodial services. Ensure facilities are clean, safe, and operational for students, staff, and visitors. Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment. Respond to facilities issues and emergencies in a timely and effective manner. Social Enterprise Construction & Workforce Development Oversee the planning, implementation, and management of a social enterprise construction initiative aligned with CCSN's mission. Supervise student employment opportunities in facilities maintenance, basic construction, and renovation projects. Partner with program leaders to align work experiences with career readiness goals. Identify and manage small-scale construction and renovation projects suitable for student crews. Ensure compliance with labor laws and safety regulations. Collaborate with community partners to expand redevelopment opportunities. Track and report on program outcomes. Safety, Compliance & Regulatory Oversight Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health, safety, and building regulations. Coordinate inspections, certifications, and documentation. Support emergency preparedness and safety protocols. Ensure OSHA and youth employment safety compliance.

Vendor, Contract & Project Coordination Manage vendors, contractors, and service providers. Support bidding and vendor selection. Coordinate capital improvement and repair projects. Monitor vendor performance and costs. Budget, Planning & Fiscal Alignment Collaborate with CFO on budgets and expenditures. Track expenses and ensure alignment with budgets. Identify cost-saving opportunities, Support long-term facilities planning. Collaboration & School Support Work with program leaders to address facility needs. Coordinate access, scheduling, and logistics with program partners and assigned staff. Communicate updates to stakeholders. Integrate student workforce opportunities into school programs. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. (4-years of relevant experience is equivalent to 30 credits) Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of building systems and safety regulations. Strong organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in K-12, nonprofits, or charter networks. Familiarity with NJ building codes. Experience with workforce development or social enterprise programs.
Salary range:
$90,000 to $110,000
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
