20 Position Summary The Facility Supervisor supervises the daily operations of the Fitness Education Center. Ensures the safety of the facility and its users. This is a Part time position at 20 hour per week. The Facility Supervisor does not supervise others. Duties & Responsibilities Opens or closes the Center during supervisor shift, inspects the Center facilities and classrooms to identify hazards and minimize risks, and sets up equipment in instructional and activity areas. Answers questions and solves patron problems or concerns to provide an exceptional level of customer service. Assists custodians with regular and emergency custodial and maintenance work and responds to medical and facility emergencies. Initiates work orders in Purchase Order Management system and follows those requests to ensure completion. Reconciles daily transactions, verifying amounts collected, identifying discrepancies, resolving any issues, and preparing those funds for bank deposits.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of CPR and First Aid Principles. Knowledge of cashiering and customer services principles. Knowledge of athletic equipment operation and maintenance. Skill in decision making and problem solving. Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public. Skill in oral and written communication. Ability to respond to emergency situations using CPR and First Aid Principles. Ability to provide quality customer services.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school degree or equivalent. 1 year of job duty related experience. Must possess a current American Heart Association CPR/AED and First Aid or American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid.
Preferred Qualifications:
Facility management experience. Supervisory experience.
Requirements for continued employment:
Must possess and maintain a current American Heart Association CPR/AED and First Aid or American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Exposure to occasional noise, moderate temperature fluctuations, some potential for minor physical strain, or work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Exposure to hazardous chemicals. The work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, stooping, bending or crouching. The employee frequently lifts light and heavy objects, uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity distinguishes between shades of color, and utilizes the sense of smell. The work is typically performed in an office and fitness center.
Schedule Designation:
This position is required to work onsite in Santa Fe, NM. Typical work shifts can be day shift, swing shifts and weekends depending on the needs of the department.
