Location:
Las Vegas, NV; In Person Academica is an Educational Management Service Provider supporting Charter Schools in Nevada, Idaho, Arizona, California, Wyoming, and Colorado. Our experienced team of professionals provides services and solutions for every aspect of charter school establishment and operation. Academica is seeking a self-starter to build and nurture client relationships through Facilities and Maintenance Support. The right candidate must be able to work with a variety of different personalities and communication styles. This position requires a background in facilities maintenance and/or construction with a solution-oriented focus.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Support the assigned school facilities by managing maintenance, project and equipment requests. Secure bids for services and projects as requested by the schools and Academica. Regular visits to the schools (weekly) or as often as needed to successfully support schools and the management of their facilities. Afterhours/emergency response is minimal, however, is a requirement of the role. Mileage paid in accordance with IRS stipulations. This position is expected to support 6-10 locations most of which are in Las Vegas.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Ability to work with anyone Apply solution-based thinking to job responsibilities Ability to perform in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Experience in building maintenance or trade work roles required
License/Certification:
Driver's License and reliable transportation (Required) Travel expectations: Support of schools outside of Las Vegas; this position may be assigned schools outside of the Las Vegas and may require travel. Travel in support of these schools is typically every 4-6 times per year with calls and email support as often as necessary.
Job duties:
Daily Reply to all communications within 24 (business) hours. Review and assign work orders ASAP or by close of business, by using the ticketing platform (currently FMX). Coordinate any work with vendor and school staff. Any tasks that can be perform by the Facilities Manager should be - if time, tools and materials allow for the execution of these tasks.
Visit schools:
Check in with onsite maintenance team and administration/office management; follow up on any unresolved work orders, note any new building or service concerns. Observe as much of the campus as possible note any concerns. Weekly Attend dept. meetings as requested Report any notable concerns to colleagues and leadership for support. Maintain work areas regularly Monthly Attend Academica Staff meetings Attend School Board meetings as requested Other duties Research products, equipment and services as needed for the support of schools. Compile documents and support materials as necessary for review by Boards, Principals and Academica. Additional duties and assignments are possible at Academica's discretion.
