Job Description

Overview The Deposit Central School District is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Facilities II to lead the operation and care of our school district's buildings and grounds. This key leadership position oversees facility maintenance, custodial operations, safety procedures, and improvement projects to ensure our schools remain safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environments for students, staff, and the community. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong organizational skills, knowledge of building operations, and the ability to guide a team while planning for the district's long-term facility needs. Candidates may be qualified by the following:
  • A bachelor's degree in School Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or similar field with two years of related experience (including one year in a supervisory role);
  • An associate's degree in a related field with four years of experience (including one year in a supervisory role);
  • A high school diploma or equivalent and demonstration of a strong background in facilities maintenance, building operations, construction management, or a related field
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
A valid New York State driver's license is required.
