The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe operation, functionality, and upkeep of our school facilities. This position is primarily focused on building and grounds maintenance, including routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs. Responsibilities include maintaining building systems, addressing maintenance requests, performing basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry), and supporting the overall condition of the facility and grounds. Custodial tasks will be required and the primary emphasis of this role is on maintenance and facility operations to ensure a safe and efficient environment for students and staff. Perform routine inspections of the building and grounds to identify maintenance needs and ensure overall facility functionality. Complete minor repairs and preventative maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work. Maintain and support building systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Perform custodial duties (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc.) as needed to support overall facility upkeep. Assist with floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to preserve flooring conditions. Maintain outdoor areas, including walkways and parking lots, ensuring they are safe and well-kept. Respond to maintenance requests and report any issues or safety hazards promptly to the appropriate personnel. Help coordinate and track completion of maintenance and facility-related tasks. Ensure maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies are properly used, maintained, and stored. Follow established safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe environment for students and staff. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Required:
Minimum of two years previous experience in maintenance work.
High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred:
Knowledge of cleaning techniques and floor care methods. Knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. A proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Pay:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour
