Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Self-Storage Facility Associate (Part-Time) to join the Greylock Storage team at our location in Schenectady, NY. The Associate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility during weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM). This role will involve a variety of tasks, including customer service, facility maintenance, security, and administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Assist customers with rentals, move-ins, and move-outs. Provide excellent customer service to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Site Maintenance:
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the facility, including sweeping, mopping, and ensuring storage units are clean and ready for rental.
Security:
Ensure the security of the facility by monitoring surveillance cameras, performing regular security checks, and ensuring all access points are secure.
Administrative Tasks:
Answer phone calls and respond to emails from customers, addressing inquiries, providing information, and processing rental agreements and payments.
Reporting:
Prepare daily reports on facility activities, including rental activity, customer interactions, maintenance tasks, and security incidents. Report any issues or concerns to management promptly.
Emergency Response:
Respond to emergencies or incidents that may occur during weekend shifts, including contacting emergency services and following established protocols.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with other team members and management to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service at all times.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous customer service experience preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Basic computer skills for email communication and data entry. Availability to work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM).
