Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and administratively skilled Facilities Coordinator to oversee and maintain the relationships with users of our facilities. Work includes developing relationships with groups using our facilities and maintaining relationships with vendors that provide work on the facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management abilities, attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to work well with a variety of people. This role involves coordinating church space usage calendar, managing facility projects, and necessary administration for this work. The Facilities Coordinator will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and productive environment, supporting all who use and work in the church building. Duties Actively coordinates, manages and monitors church space usage calendar. Obtains signed building use agreements and insurance certificates from outside groups. Oversees facility management over entire building, including outside groups, handles vendor contracts, negotiates contracts for services. Manages and directs the implementation and execution of facilities policies, procedures, and programs. Works with church employees and volunteers with issues related to the facility. Works closely with the appropriate church teams to ensure the most effective utilization of church space and facilities. Supervises those who clean and maintain the facility. Attends staff meetings as scheduled. Other duties as assigned. Works under the direct supervision of the Senior Pastor. Work is evaluated in terms of effectiveness, relationships with staff, congregation and building groups, and value as an integral member of the church's core leadership team. Qualifications Knowledge and experience in coordinating items related to planning, scheduling, controlling, and directing church building functions. Able to develop and administer budgets related to building management. Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines. Ability to prioritize and multi-task. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Work cooperatively with all staff and volunteers, exhibiting a teamwork mentality. Ability to maintain confidentiality as appropriate and accountable with church resources.
