Job Description

[Job Description] A large reputable utility company is currently hiring for a Facilities Project Manager to lead complex facility planning, design, and construction projects from concept through close-out . This role operates with minimal supervision and serves as a technical authority across architecture, engineering, construction management, procurement, and regulatory compliance, supporting the company's long-term asset strategy and operational continuity. The types of projects will focus on Mission Critical projects in the realm of substation & security gates. Pay
  • $48/hr.
  • $52/hr. Location
  • Will be travelling to various Southend project sites in Puyallup and Olympia (Will be using personal vehicle, but mileage will be reimbursed). Contract Duration
  • 24-Month Contract (Potential to convert to FTE) [ Responsibilities] Lead facility planning, architectural/engineering design, and construction for complex capital and mission-critical projects.
Manage budgets, schedules, procurement, permitting, inspections, and quality control. Prepare cost estimates, feasibility studies, and project evaluations independently. Ensure compliance with building codes, energy regulations, safety standards, and company requirements. Review and approve design documents and construction documentation. Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and external consultants. Provide architectural consultation across departments. Mentor junior Project Managers. [Qualification Requirements] 6+ years of experience in facilities planning, design, and construction management. Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management. Must have experience with managing projects from initiation to the execution stage. Experience with Ariba (big plus) and SharePoint. Big bonus for experience managing mission-critical projects and/or substation & security gates. Experience with managing punch lists. Strong expertise in building systems, construction methods, codes, and permitting. Experience with construction contract administration and field construction practices. Strong written communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
