On-site at Fox Chase Farm Position Overview Fox Chase Farm is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and community-minded Facilities & Farm Operations Associate to support the daily cleanliness, organization, and upkeep of the farm's educational and public-facing spaces. This role is essential to maintaining a welcoming, safe, and well-cared-for environment for students, staff, families, and community visitors. Responsibilities include maintaining classrooms, bathrooms, common areas, trash removal, restocking supplies, supporting event cleanup and setup needs, and assisting with the overall appearance and functionality of the facility. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, notices the small details, and genuinely cares about the environment they help maintain. Fox Chase Farm operates as a collaborative, mission-driven team, and this role is important to the daily experience of everyone who enters the space. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout farm buildings, classrooms, bathrooms, offices, and shared spaces Monitoring and restocking supplies including paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and cleaning materials Removing trash and recycling from buildings and event spaces Assisting with event setup, breakdown, and post-event cleaning as needed Sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and performing routine facility upkeep tasks Supporting overall facility presentation to ensure spaces remain welcoming and student-ready Reporting maintenance concerns, safety issues, or supply needs to Fox Chase Farm staff Assisting with seasonal operational tasks and general support needs as requested Helping maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented environment Schedule & Work Environment Per diem role with scheduling based on operational and event needs.

Position may include:

Weekday daytime hours Evening shifts for events or programming Weekend availability during public events and seasonal programming This is an on-site position. Remote work is not available. Work is conducted in an active educational farm environment and may include indoor and outdoor responsibilities in varying weather conditions. Qualifications Prior custodial, janitorial, facilities, maintenance, or cleaning experience is preferred Strong attention to detail and reliability Ability to work independently and complete tasks thoroughly Comfortable working in active school and community environments Ability to lift, move, and carry supplies and materials as needed Strong communication and teamwork skills Willingness to support the broader needs of the farm and community environment Reliable transportation is required Additional Notes This role plays an important part in the daily operations and community experience of Fox Chase Farm. Specific duties and schedules may evolve based on farm programming, seasonal activities, and operational needs.
