In this energetic role, you will oversee daily operations at our pet care center, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for animals and clients alike. Your passion for animals and strong organizational skills will help create a positive experience for pets, pet owners, and staff. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals while leading a dedicated team. Duties Manage daily operations of the pet facility, including scheduling staff and coordinating activities to ensure smooth workflow. Oversee animal handling procedures, ensuring proper restraint, feeding, grooming, and enrichment activities are conducted with compassion and professionalism. Supervise pet care services such as dog training sessions, doggy daycare, dog boarding, grooming, transportation and veterinary-related activities to maintain high standards of animal welfare. Train and mentor staff in animal handling techniques, customer service excellence, and safety protocols to foster a knowledgeable and motivated team. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation standards, and proper record-keeping for all animals in care Handle customer inquiries with enthusiasm and professionalism, providing expert advice on pet care needs while building strong client relationships. Experience Proven experience in animal handling, including dog training, dog handling, or kennel work. Background in veterinary settings or veterinary technician/assistant roles is highly desirable. Hands-on pet grooming or dog boarding -kennel experience that demonstrates a caring approach to animals. Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and general animal care practices. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for animal transport or equipment setup. Prior supervisory or management experience in a pet care or animal-related environment is preferred but not required.
