Position Summary Aber Solar is seeking an experienced Facilities & Utilities Manager to lead the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of critical facility systems supporting photovoltaic cell manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable utility services, environmental compliance, equipment performance, workplace safety, and effective management of the local facilities team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, extensive experience managing industrial utility systems, and a proven track record in manufacturing environments, preferably within semiconductor, solar, battery, or other high-tech industries. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Facilities & Utilities team, including hiring, training, performance management, and workforce development. Oversee the operation and maintenance of critical utility systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, compressed air systems, chilled water systems, wastewater treatment, and process utilities. Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize production downtime. Ensure facility systems consistently meet manufacturing requirements for safety, capacity, environmental controls, and operational efficiency. Manage facility operating budgets, utility consumption, contractor services, and cost reduction initiatives. Lead troubleshooting efforts and emergency response activities for utility and facility-related system failures. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company environmental, health, and safety policies. Coordinate facility support activities with Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and EHS teams. Manage facility improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and capacity expansion initiatives. Maintain accurate maintenance records, SOPs, compliance documentation, and technical reports. Drive continuous improvement, energy efficiency, and sustainability initiatives across facility operations. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 8+ years of facilities, utilities, or industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. 3+ years of supervisory or management experience. Strong knowledge of HVAC, power distribution, compressed air, chilled water, wastewater treatment, and industrial utility systems. Experience developing preventive maintenance programs and managing facility budgets. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and facility safety programs. Strong problem-solving, leadership, and project management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and respond to facility emergencies when required. Preferred Qualifications Experience in solar, battery, semiconductor, electronics, or cleanroom manufacturing environments. Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), OSHA Certification, EPA Certification, or Electrical License. Experience supporting large-scale greenfield manufacturing facilities. Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.
Pay:
