Facilities Assistant

Apply Facilities Assistant De Smet, SD Apply Description This position performs routine cleaning and upkeep of interior and exterior areas to maintain a safe, orderly, and professional environment. The Facilities Assistant uses cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment safely and correctly, following posted instructions and applicable procedures. This position also assists the supervisor as needed to ensure the facilities and grounds are ready for business each day. This position offers flexible hours and primarily involves outdoor work.

Functions:

Maintain company grounds by mowing, edging, mulching, and performing other landscaping tasks as needed. Identify and report maintenance needs, safety concerns, or facility damage to supervisor in a timely manner. Check recycling bins and trash receptacles regularly; remove and replace bags when full. Pick up litter and debris on the outside grounds. Remove snow and ice from sidewalks during winter weather as needed. Sweep the storage room floor as needed. Clean and maintain outdoor structures and site amenities, such as, gazebo, picnic tables, and benches. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds required. Ability to frequently lift, bend, stoop, climb, push, and stretch required. Demonstrates a professional, courteous, responsible and honest demeanor required. Strong verbal and interpersonal skills required. Ability to work effectively with others required. Demonstrates dependability and punctuality required. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions required. Commitment to company values and customer service required.
