We offer lodging, grooming, daycare, and training. We are locally owned and managed with 25+ years of experience in the pet industry. Whether for a day or a whole vacation, each pet's stay is tailored to their needs and preferences. Job Overview As the General Manager of Barkaritaville Pet Resort, you are the captain of our ship! You lead our team toward exceptional client satisfaction for both our four-legged guests and their human families—while ensuring strong financial performance and operational excellence. This role requires a hands-on, proactive leader who can balance people leadership, financial management, and daily operations in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. Responsibilities Provide direct leadership to the management team and indirect leadership to all staff Drive maximum client satisfaction while meeting profit and performance goals Oversee financial operations, including payroll, cash handling, receipts, productivity, supply costs, and operating expenses Analyze staffing needs and plan appropriate compensation and scheduling levels Lead hiring, scheduling, onboarding, and training in compliance with company standards and legal requirements Develop and coach department managers; foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture Anticipate operational challenges and proactively correct system or process breakdowns Ensure facility safety, sanitation, preventive maintenance, and security standards are met Maintain excellent care standards for pets and exceptional service for clients Step in and assist with any role as needed to support team success Experience 5+ years of leadership experience in pet care, hospitality, restaurant, or a related service-focused industry The ideal candidate will have training and organizational backgrounds. We need a team leader Business degree or 5+ years of General Manager-level experience managing revenue Proven history of career progression with strong professional references Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost control Knowledge of how daily operations impact profit & loss Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Experience with performance reviews would be helpful Must live within 10 miles of the Corpus Christi location Schedule Typically 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday Holidays and every other Saturday are required Must be available on-call based on operational needs What we offer $50,000 to $65,000 annually Medical & dental insurance Simple
