Leads technical employees. Work requires contact with contractors and private entities. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Essential Duties:
Leads technical, administrative, or clerical support employees. Assists in periodic inspections of buildings and grounds. Coordinates, inspects, and/or monitors building operations and service activities including housekeeping, security, inside painting, carpentry and/or groundskeeping at one or more sites. Enters work order information and tracks projects in the Automated Software System and orders materials and equipment. Monitors building maintenance, condition of equipment and service contracts. Performs evaluation and may assist in developing and implementing the preventive maintenance program. Provides estimates of time and materials needed for each assignment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education :
High School Grad or Equivalent in general high school studies.
Experience :
6 years in building inspection, maintenance, utility systems, electrical, carpentry, painting. (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent). Related college education or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis . Substitutions for

Valid driver's license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.

Considerable knowledge of Preventive maintenance methods and procedures Building support service operations and management Methods and materials used in groundskeeping Some knowledge of Monitoring the status and progress of projects Using computers, applicable programs, applications, and systems
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Subject to environmental conditions; protection from weather but not temperature changes Subject to outside environmental conditions; no effective weather protection Sedentary work: Lift up to 10 lbs at a time and occasionally carry files/small tools Balancing-walking, standing, crouching on various surfaces without falling
