Essential Job Functions:
Facilities Specialist (USA), as their primary duties, must ensure all maintenance and repairs are completed without disruption in a safe manner. This position may also require travel too, and time spent as needed, at any of the other company facilities throughout the USA. This position is expected to be a self-motivator, be able to work well with others, take & give clear direction, be comfortable working while in high places, multitask, and produce a high volume of work through completion with high quality & craftsmanship. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. The primary scope of this position: Perform/execute/coordinate (with management and employees) tasks and projects as they arise for the Dallas Campus and/or USA facilities, with ability to complete within the time frame needed. Perform duties, before, during, and after regular work hours as needed, to eliminate or at least minimize the impact on any of the various executives/manager(s), departments, employee(s), and customer tours. Monitor and maintain or cause to be maintained, facilities equipment for proper operations. HVAC and Exhaust Fan equipment Compressed air system Overhead and Jib cranes Elevator and Wheelchair lifts Water and Gas meters Electrical mains, Breaker boxes, Lighting Security & devices (Fire, Burglar, Badge Readers, Lock devices and CCTV) Floor cleaning equipment Forklifts/Pallet jacks Confirm performance of all compressed air equipment, check/fill all fluid levels, coordinate vendor maintenance and repairs as needed. Confirm filter status, belt status, lubrication status overall efficiency performance, and coordinate vendor maintenance and repairs as needed. Confirm fire, life, and safety equipment is always operational, repair and coordinate all vendor maintenance and repairs as needed. Verify the performance, conduct preventative maintenance, and coordinate vendor maintenance and repairs as needed for all doors/hardware, automatic door systems, and overhead door systems. Confirm facility is always show ready (clean, organized, and safe) Support Service and Applications in machine movement, setup and or teardown. Support Safety team. Support facility trades workers, working within CTPAT and FTZ areas. Perform all other duties as assigned (cleaning, organizing, minor mechanical, minor electrical, minor plumbing, minor carpentry, forklift operator, man-lift operator, rider scrubber operator) Maintain vendor accounts which include workflow and invoicing. Budget annual Facilities expenses.
Minimum Requirements:
The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines. Proven experience of communicating professionally with internal and external employees, vendors, contractors, and customers. Proven flexibility with shifting priorities Certification or ability to be certified in Forklift, Scissor & Boom Lift operation. Proven organizational skills, with high attention to detail. Experience:
Bachelor s Degree preferred. More than 2 years of successful Facilities, Building Maintenance or Construction Experience Preferred knowledge of and/or safety certifications including but not limited to Cal OSHA Microsoft office
Work Environment :
Will spend time in various manufacturing environments. Exposure to possible hazards include noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, heights, and other automated and manual machinery.
Physical Demands :
8-hour work schedule with overtime as needed. 24/7
On Call:
contact person for building related and security issues.
Frequent :
sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, walking, reaching, and ability to climb tall ladders.
Periodic :
repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements.
Occasiona l:
