The facility, property, and infrastructure are already in place. Ownership is seeking a proven leader who possesses the operational, technical, and business development skills necessary to build a premier repair operation while sharing directly in the financial success of the business. This is a unique opportunity for someone who has always wanted to run their own shop without the significant capital investment typically required to purchase land, buildings, equipment, and infrastructure. The Opportunity The selected candidate will operate as the General Manager and Operating Partner of the facility, overseeing all aspects of the business, including operations, personnel, customer development, and profitability. Compensation will include a competitive profit-sharing and/or revenue-sharing arrangement designed to reward performance, growth, and long-term success. Key Responsibilities Direct and manage all day-to-day shop operations Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and manage technicians and support staff Develop and implement operating procedures and performance standards Build and maintain relationships with fleet operators, owner-operators, trucking companies, dealerships, and commercial customers Generate new business opportunities and expand market presence Schedule repairs, manage workflow, and maximize shop productivity Oversee estimates, invoicing, collections, and customer satisfaction Manage inventory, purchasing, tools, equipment, and vendor relationships Ensure compliance with all OSHA, environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability Lead the shop with professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to excellence Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience in commercial truck, trailer, diesel, fleet maintenance, or heavy equipment repair operations Strong understanding of truck and trailer diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures Proven experience managing personnel and shop operations Demonstrated ability to develop business and cultivate customer relationships Strong financial, organizational, and leadership skills Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset Ability to operate independently and make sound business decisions Compensation This position offers a negotiated profit-sharing and/or revenue-sharing structure based upon experience, qualifications, and performance.
