Salary:
$2,256.00 biweekly/$58,656.00 annually•Entry level
Hours :
Monday•Friday 8am•5pm (hours may vary)

Role and Responsibilities :
The Parks & Recreation / Facilities Director oversees the planning, development, operation, and maintenance of the municipality's parks, recreation programs, public buildings, and facility infrastructure. This position provides strategic leadership, manages departmental staff, ensures compliance with state and local regulations, and delivers quality recreational services and well-maintained facilities for the community. Responsibilities include budgeting, capital improvements, project management, policy development, and coordination with public agencies, contractors, and community organizations.
Minimum Requirements :
High School Diploma or equivalent, OR Ten (10) or more years of progressively responsible experience in parks, recreation, & facility operations, including supervisory experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Preferred•Bachelor's degree in Parks & Recreation Management, Public Administration, Facility Management, Education or a related field.
Conditions of Employment:
Must have a valid Class "C" Driver's License and valid state required minimum automobile liability insurance prior to employment Must pass a drug test, driver's license check, criminal history background check, and social security number verification check Must be able to work outside of regular business hours as needed On-call availability during emergencies or critical incidents Office environment with frequent public contact.
