Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
The CMMS Coordinator will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining a robust Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This position will assure best in class asset management, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, project management (PM) and material management. Building systems with managed assets include but not limited to, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical and architectural systems. This role will require strong collaboration with maintenance and compliance personnel.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE A
high school diploma or equivalent is required. Graduation from a two year technical college in a directly related field is preferred. Three years of broad experience working in an administrative role within an institutional maintenance department, with preference given to experience with a computerized work order system. Five years at a functional user level with personal computers and a sound knowledge of Excel is preferred. A basic understanding of mechanical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical, plumbing and refrigeration systems preferred. General knowledge is preferred of other facility based systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and utility systems and their components). A basic understanding of maintenance and repair processes for building systems is preferred. Experience with a CMMS system, including data entry, scheduling, and report generation is required. Ability to organize and conduct training on the CMMS system. Excellent communication and organizational skills plus the ability to interact in a positive manner with the campus community are required. Must be able to work with individuals across a broad spectrum of skills and trades.
