Job Description

Plant Manager Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Plant Manager in our Texas plant to oversee daily production activities, quality control, equipment maintenance coordination, employee supervision and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient plant operations, meeting production targets, maintaining quality standards and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, mechanical aptitude, production planning experience and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Production Oversight Review daily production logs, reports, and performance metrics including output, downtime and waste. Monitor production schedules and forecast upcoming production requirements. Ensure production goals and customer delivery deadlines are met. Adjust staffing levels and production priorities as necessary to maintain workflow and productivity. Quality Control Review quality control logs and inspection reports. Investigate quality concerns and implement corrective actions. Partner with quality personnel to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Employee Leadership & Supervision Supervise production employees to ensure safe work practices, productivity and adherence to procedures. Provide coaching, guidance and support to line leads and production staff. Assist with workforce scheduling, staffing needs and employee development. Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting Support troubleshooting and maintenance of plant machinery and equipment. Coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel to minimize downtime. Monitor equipment performance and identify preventative maintenance opportunities. Vendor & Purchasing Coordination Communicate with vendors regarding equipment, supplies and operational requirements. Order replacement parts, tools and maintenance materials as needed. Track incoming orders and ensure timely delivery of critical components. Continuous Improvement & Special Projects Lead or support plant improvement initiatives, process enhancements and operational projects. Assist with installation of new equipment and process modifications. Participate in cost reduction, efficiency improvement and productivity enhancement efforts. Regulatory Compliance & Government Relations Maintain communication with city officials and regulatory agencies when required. Ensure compliance with local regulations, permits, inspections and reporting requirements. Coordinate utility and infrastructure-related matters impacting plant operations. Qualifications Required Skills & Experience Strong leadership, communication and team management skills. Supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment. Mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting experience. Production planning and scheduling knowledge. Understanding of quality systems, safety programs and regulatory compliance. Ability to multitask, prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with production management, inventory and reporting systems. Preferred Qualifications Supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization. Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability practices. Knowledge of hazardous and industrial waste management practices. Experience working with vendors, contractors and project management activities.
