Job Description

As a Facilities Manager at our Newport News, VA location, you will be responsible for coordinating and completing repairs, maintenance, and upgrades across our recovery houses. This role supports safe, compliant, and well‑maintained environments for patients and teammates by managing projects, performing hands‑on maintenance, and ensuring facilities meet regulatory and accreditation standards. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license in good standing Minimum of three (3) years of maintenance experience Supervisory experience managing facility maintenance Ability and willingness to travel between houses and pick up supplies as needed Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repairs to facilities, grounds, and equipment Ensure HVAC and heating systems are functioning properly and maintained Maintain facility grounds, including mowing, weeding, landscaping, and general upkeep Complete minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting work that does not require a permit or license Assist with ordering maintenance supplies and maintaining an organized storage area Support light housekeeping tasks as needed Serve as a liaison with contractors, vendors, and suppliers, coordinating with the Controller and Executive Director Comply with all health, safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards, including CARF requirements Maintain facility vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, and registration Perform other duties as assigned Benefits 18 days Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) with company match Company‑sponsored training and certification opportunities Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, and accident insurance Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP) Discounted tuition and scholarship opportunities through Capella University Join our team.
