We are currently seeking applicants for a full-time Technical and Safety Lead who will be responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all Eggleston Services facilities and equipment. This position serves as the primary resource for safety program administration, technical equipment oversight, contractor coordination, equipment documentation, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. The Technical and Safety Lead works closely with facility management, maintenance personnel, contractors, and operational staff to ensure all safety requirements, equipment maintenance activities, and training programs are properly implemented, documented, and maintained. Applicant must have the availability to work Monday through Friday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and responsibilities represent the essential functions of this job that an individual must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation: Safety Compliance and Training Compile, maintain, and review all safety documentation, policies, procedures, and records to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and industry best practices. Conduct ongoing assessments of safety programs and make recommendations for corrective actions and compliance improvements as needed. Schedule, coordinate, and document Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training for applicable employees. Monitor Lockout/Tagout procedures to ensure compliance and adherence to established policies and regulatory requirements. Schedule, coordinate, and document Forklift and Scissor Lift Operator Training and Certification programs. Monitor equipment operation practices and ensure certified operators follow established safety procedures. Work with management to investigate safety concerns, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions. Inspections and Auditing Conduct random safety, equipment, and operational inspections at all Eggleston Services locations. Prepare inspection reports documenting findings, corrective actions, and recommendations for improvement. Review monthly inspection reports from all facilities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Prepare and submit monthly compliance and safety performance reports to the Assistant Vice President of Facilities. Equipment Management and Maintenance Oversight Coordinate and oversee equipment inspection programs for all operational equipment, including but not limited to: Scissor lifts Forklifts Company vehicles Laundry equipment Material handling equipment Other facility equipment as required Ensure required preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs are scheduled and completed in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and regulatory requirements. Maintain records of equipment inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, warranties, and service history. Contractor and Vendor Coordination Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors performing repairs, maintenance, or installation work. Meet with contractors during repair and installation projects to verify work is completed according to specifications and operational requirements. Document repairs, equipment modifications, and replacement parts in MaintainX, Equipmate, and other approved systems. Coordinate project timelines and communicate project status updates to facility leadership. Inventory and Asset Management Develop and maintain a comprehensive parts inventory program to support operational reliability and minimize equipment downtime. Monitor inventory levels and establish appropriate stock quantities based on operational needs and equipment criticality. Coordinate ordering and replenishment of maintenance parts, supplies, and equipment. Track inventory usage and maintain accurate inventory records. Training and Certification Management Coordinate with federal contract representatives and equipment vendors to ensure proper operator training for all laundry equipment. Maintain records of employee certifications, training completion, and operator qualifications. Ensure training documentation is current, accurate, and readily available for audits and inspections. Procurement and Project Administration Serve as the primary point of contact for obtaining repair and equipment replacement estimates. Review contractor proposals, quotes, and estimates for accuracy and completeness. Obtain necessary approvals in accordance with company purchasing procedures. Track purchases, repairs, and installations to ensure timely completion and accurate documentation. Maintain organized records of all equipment purchases, repairs, and capital projects. Documentation and Systems Management Review, update, and maintain equipment records within MaintainX and Equipmate. Ensure all equipment documentation includes:
Equipment manuals Model numbers Serial numbers Purchase dates Warranty information Equipment locations Maintenance history Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical records for all facility assets. Policy and Procedure Management Review and revise facility-related policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and operational needs. Work with facility leadership to implement updated policies and procedures. Assist with the development and continuous improvement of safety and maintenance programs across all locations. Note:

The following qualifications represent the training, education, certifications, licensures, and/or work experience required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities successfully: Bachelor's degree in industrial maintenance, Occupational Safety, Facilities Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in facilities maintenance, safety management, industrial operations, or a related field. Experience with OSHA compliance, safety audits, and industrial equipment maintenance preferred. Experience in managing contractor services and maintenance documentation systems preferred. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices. Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout requirements and powered industrial truck regulations. Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and equipment management systems. Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), including MaintainX and Equipmate preferred. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop corrective actions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Physical demands: Performing the duties of this job requires near visual acuity, the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds, and gross manipulation. Additionally, the employee: Must be free of tuberculosis in a communicable form Must be able to walk, stand, bend, climb ladders, and inspect equipment for extended periods. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to work in industrial, warehouse, and laundry environments. Must be able to travel between Eggleston Services' locations as required. Work environment : While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in industrial settings and may sometimes perform outside during inclement weather. Must be able to tolerate a work environment that is prone to high and low temperature fluctuations, dust, dirt, lint, and industrial fluids.
